A copper tubing flaring tool is easy to use. Soft copper is used in most homes because it can make bends with kinks. It is the copper tubes used to bring water into your house. When you have to connect a copper tube to another tube, the copper tube must be flared for the fittings. A flaring tool is easy to use. First, put the nut on the copper tubing, then place the copper tube into the size hole that fits. Then, tighten the thumb screws to clamp the tube into the flaring tool. Then attach the other part of this tool that creates the flare. The cone sharp pointed part actually fits down into the copper tube. The final part is this simple little handle that slides into the end of the fitting. Turn this handle and it creates the flare on the copper tube. It flares it out making a bugle like flare. Once you connect the flared copper tubing to the connecting tube, it will not leak. See this video for more details.
